More than One Way to Follow!
Walk this Way...
Over the last few months since I began blogging, I'd like to think that I've learnt a few things and one of those things is: you can never have enough ways for your audience to follow you.
I found out the other day that the GFC widget only allows you to follow a maximum of 300 Blogs ~ so if you're in the middle of a 'Follow for a Follow' Session on Facebook to get your numbers up and you've reached your limit, then what?
Well firstly I discovered Networked Blogs, which is Facebook compatible and more recently I've added Linky, which is another way for the marvellous Peeps out there to follow you if they have a Linky account too.
Another one which I haven't signed up for is Bloglovin ~ as it's much like Linky and NB, but I will be investigating this one further.
Then there's the good old Email Follow and finally the RSS Feed ~ this last one I'm looking at adding next. This uses a Blog Reader ~ Google has its own which you can use to supposedly easily follow Blogger Blogs.
But the thing that amazes me the most is how many bloggers, whichever platform they are using whether it's WordPress, Blogspot or whatever is, have the distinct lack of Following Options, on some there's nothing at all, why is that?
Is it because:
A) They aren't aware of any options?
B) They don't want any followers?
C) They don't care whether their audience can follow or not?
D) They think that adding these elements is beyond their capabilities?
E) They are clueless about available elements they can add?
I just don't know what the answer is, however I do know this I will keep adding different types of Following Options to my Blog, to give my Audience and Followers a choice that suits them and is easy to use.
So tell me, what do you think to using multiple following tools on your blog?
