Calls of the Untamed

Eri Nelson

Genre: Fiction/Fantasy/Paranormal/Erotic 18+
Hosted by: Lady Amber's Tours

From the unorthodox author Eri Nelson began an adult new twist to an old tale. One where paranormal leads humanities’ darkest depths astride the backs of wolfly biceps.

Unlike most darkly lit romantic tales Eri’s vision takes an imprinting’s heat on a ride through the last of the packs inevitable extinction. Sought and found by a secret corner of the government a convenient weapon, such as the Werewolves, brinks on their own possible demise. However, as their leash is loosened by Opts itself one honor bound alpha encounters the Moon’s promise of hope in a luscious scarlet haired enticement. Although as the fur begins to rise in heated ecstasy a pack’s leader learns that, their brief run to safety hasn’t been their last.

With an ill mated Thomas the clan has more to comprehend as a pack. Now that not only has the alpha’s Kristen been found but now a twin who seems to promise the pack even more by the weight of her womb. Nevertheless, Julia will not be the only imprinted yet to be found for one aged prophecy seems to have come alive and brought the INK that will soon write the end to the pack’s current existence.

Guest Post with Eri Nelson

I’m Not Your Kind Of Author

When I first started writing… Wait, scratch that. When I started openly letting others read my work, I never knew that my writing style would be such an obstacle for readers. Admittedly, I have been lucky. Great deals of readers have been kind as far as my work is concerned. Although, many knew or found out very quickly by the first few pages that my twist and turns to words would have you guessing or yes in some cases passing on my work.

My writable twists are not everyone’s cup of tea. (she giggles) And that’s ok, not everyone likes tea. As for me I adore it… Even the writing (she smirks). We can sugar it up and it will either be preferred for the way it taste or the lack of steam it gives off. As for mine, the writing not the tea, I rather drift on the less sweetened side. Preferring to choose a story that rolls around in my head rather than following more traditional romantic paranormal tales.

I am not in it for the money…(she says looking into her empty wallet). In fact I give away more of my books than I actually sell. Just this last Saturday, I celebrated my forty-first birthday and I gave away over seven hundred books out of the three listed currently under my Dearhart Clan Series. This is not the first time either. When I go free, I typically will not just do one book… I do them all. Not just because I am reaching for good reviews (although that would be freaken awesome). In all honesty, I do it because I love to write. Whether unorthodox or not it is a thrill for me to fill the page with a story. However, there is only one thing better than that. When I am able to reach that reader who knows what I am about and still enjoys the read.

There are many tales in which display writers guarded or shielded by those they can afford to employ. However, it is just that a tale. More correctly a fairy tale. Many authors in my circle are independent authors or indie authors if you prefer.  Meaning, in case you do not know, we do not have outside funding or are paid a wage to produce our books. Many of us have possibly a job or two outside of writing. This would be because our 30% to 70% royalties are barely enough to buy gas let alone pay the mortgage. Course these royalties are not paid as soon as a reader clicks the buy button. Some of us wait sixty days for our, if we are lucky, ten dollars. Although, we are aware that our proceeds will not be in great numbers especially since the majority of indie authors try to keep their prices low or even free to entice as well as show appreciation for you our hopeful readers.

For me, and I feel like I say this a great deal, writing is an art form. It beats from the hearts of creativity so thusly it courses to the pulse of the particular artist’s vision. Yes, I know what you are thinking. There must be structure for the reader to understand the concept and the plot of the story and you are right. However, a big part of me feels that fiction needs a wider stance. We are creating worlds or notching out a place in this one, which comes from our own mind’s workings. Therefore, there may not be bridges but ropes to grasp and swing along with as an amazing story whisks you off.

Wouldn’t it be a shame if we rated great works of literature from another era the way we limit new thoughts and ideas of today?

No one wishes readers to read something they cannot get into. That would be absurd to even think. Although, opening your mind just a crack may… just may… allow you a glimpse of something awesome you might have other wised overlooked.

Thank you so much for allowing me this time with you and your readers.

Best Wishes

Eri Nelson
